Acrylic painting on Plexiglas, 4 x 5’
When wearing the brace, I am able to replicate again and again the gesture necessary to create the steady horizontal strokes that the brace is pictured with. Together the brace and painting function as a kind of self portrait, describing the shape of my arm as well as the action I performed while painting.
